Lunch date bought a pair of deals for this place and since he couldn't get anyone else, I offered myself up for it
Yes, myself invitations need to stop at one point or another. But ... but ... we did agree before that to try this place but couldn't find the right date/time when both of us were available. It just so happened that weekend we were both free. Just so happened that he hadn't used his coupons yet. So, it worked out just fine. I wasn't being an advantageous bitch.
They didn't have anymore seats inside so we settled for outdoor which wasn't so bad with the breeze blowing constantly. Must be the location.
His first plate. We were both really starved. Me especially since it was my first meal of the day.
My first kill. Of the entire plate, sorry to all you buffet lovers, I love the rice the most. It had that slight spice taste to it together with the seafood. A very good combo. The pasta was just so so. Lasagne, well, I've never really liked them so no. Seafood marinara spaghetti was decent.
Veggies being veggies, ok la.
Second plate. Obviously he slowed down after the first major kill.
See that white fluff? It's crab stick meat salad with hard boiled egg yolk on top of a toast. The weirdest thing we ate for that day. Can't put to words what's wrong or missing but the flavours are all out.
The octopus was somewhat over cooked (but I don't care, I like them). The hard boiled egg wasn't anything special at all, except for that dollop of mayo basil on top. I would have thought it's like deviled egg but no. They were just too lazy.
Cold mixed veggie salad with the sausage was ok la. Technically, the rest of the stuff were just average.
Pizza crust was a little too thick.
Most of the meat overall didn't look that appetizing and somewhat overcooked. Even the chicken sausage wasn't spared *sigh
We only managed to salvage leftovers for the different meat stews because there was a long line before us and we didn't bother to wait. Too hungry lar. This is what you end up with for not being patient :( Leftovers.
But at least the beef stew was good, cooked until just tender. The seafood also not bad.
The chicken was also quite right. Should have waited and dived right into this instead.
